My passion for physics didn’t begin right away. In fact, I wasn’t particularly interested in the natural sciences at first. But then, an accident changed everything.

I fell down the stairs. The ambulance siren sounded. I was in the operating room, a dark void surrounded me, it gave me an indescribable feeling of fantasy. When I woke up, I had 10 stitches on my forehead. But more importantly, I still can't forget that feeling, it seems like I have no way to fully describe it through normal questions.

Then I was awakened. I was dreaming of that accident years ago. That feeling of nothingness from the accident became the starting point for my pursuit of physics. It sparked deep questions about existence, my sense of self, and why I am here in this world. Before I could perceive the world, what had happened? Why do I exist in this body, with this perspective, and not in someone else’s?

From those questions, I’ve often thought that my existence must hold some meaning. I decided to embark on a "journey" to explore profound questions, to delve deeply into issues related to "reality," combining this quest with extracurricular activities to find my purpose in life, to understand why I am here. Physics is one of the subjects that can help me uncover what I am searching for. The questions explored in Physics are always deeply connected to reality. Additionally, I have a strong interest in the philosophical perspectives within Physics and often reflect on these ideas through observing the interactions of people around me.

1. The Circle
1. The Circle
I'm the kind of person who, once I become interested and determined about something, I pour all my energy into understanding it. There was a time when I nearly burned my hand on a light bulb. Instead of simply ignoring it, I found myself disassembling the bulb to figure out how it worked. I became completely absorbed in the information on the screen, to the point where I didn't hear my friends or my mom calling for me from outside. My mind felt isolated from the real world, creating an invisible circle that drew me deeper into my own thoughts. This focus happened so often that my friends thought I was aloof, while my family believed I was indifferent to the feelings of others. Even though I knew it was just a result of my intense concentration, I always tried to find a balance and pay more attention to those around me

2. My Serendipity in Physics
The first time I was introduced to physics was through a teacher who ran a laboratory. I was captivated by his stories about the incredible discoveries possible through physics: from manipulating space and time (which I later learned relates to General Relativity) to reviving the dead using vibrational frequencies and energy levels of the human body (which I later found out was connected to quantum entanglement ). From that moment, I decided to pursue physics and aim for these profound and ambitious ideas.
At first, the journey seemed easy—I simply sat and used a Roberval balance to measure mass and record data. But I quickly struggled with small details, like recalibrating the scale. These early experiments—starting with simple weighing tasks, setting up basic circuits, and building a pulley system—taught me precision, gradually leading to more complex setups. I failed many times with each experiment; once, I even caused a short circuit that cut power to the whole class! Yet, somehow, these difficulties didn’t discourage me. Instead, they sparked an unusual excitement within me, as if I was certain I’d eventually achieve results with each experiment. The more I learned, the more I felt a strange thrill, like a dopamine rush each time I completed a challenging experimental task.

In high school, as I officially specialized in Physics, I had more opportunities to engage with and conduct advanced-level physics experiments. Once, in our physics lab, we were assigned to conduct an experiment on creating and observing light interference using Young's slits. This classic experiment demonstrates the wave nature of light. Our teacher warned us in advance that this experiment would be challenging: we had to align a laser beam through two extremely narrow slits so that the light waves would interfere and create clear patterns of bright and dark bands on the screen. While it sounded simple in theory, executing it was another story. At first, the class was excited. Everyone was eager to set up the experiment, hoping to witness the beautiful, evenly spaced interference patterns. However, after about 30 minutes of struggling with the equipment, the results were nothing but chaotic or indistinct light streaks. Each time we moved the apparatus by even a millimeter, the light would misalign, causing the experiment to fail. Gradually, one group after another began to lose patience. But I found it hard to accept defeat so easily. Step by step, I persevered, adjusting the setup with determination. The thought of "I have to find a way" kept me going. I began analyzing the errors, experimenting with smaller movements of the slits, fine-tuning the projector's position, and checking every component of the equipment.
Finally, after nearly three hours of relentless effort, a magical moment occurred. A clear series of bright and dark bands appeared on the screen. It was a perfect demonstration of light interference, just as the theory predicted! The feeling was exhilarating, as if I had unlocked a secret that the rest of the class had missed. I rushed to call our teacher, and when they returned, they were equally astonished to see the interference patterns displayed on the screen. This result was not just a testament to mastering the theory; it was also a reflection of the patience and focus I had maintained throughout those three hours without giving up. That experiment taught me not only that light has wave properties, but also imparted an important lesson: perseverance is the key to unlocking the doors of knowledge.
